Conservation Status
The simple yet strict evaluation system has proven its worth over many years. Customers should be able to orient themselves on it in the best possible way. In addition, I want to offer only the best quality. Experience shows that there are different opinions in the evaluation of old collectibles. If, contrary to expectations, you do not agree with my description and the delivered goods, I will gladly be at your disposal by phone or in writing.
Explanation of the individual conditions
The ratings of the item condition from "very good" to "insufficient" always refer to the overall condition, whereby the age of the item is insignificant. Gradations between the individual states do occur. Conspicuous features, such as loose pages, inscriptions, large creases, stains or the like are mentioned separately in the respective item description, if possible.
Very good condition
The item shows virtually no signs of storage and/or use. The object appears at first glance impeccable. Important: With used and/or old goods, one will always be able to find small defects upon close inspection. An old collectible is not comparable to new merchandise, even if it has been rated very good. Examples: The album has a small dog-ear, occasional stickers stuck crookedly, micro-scratches on the cover, a reattached center page, or clean result entries. The unclipped sticker has sharp edges, is clean, and has no creases. However, its adhesiveness may be limited due to age and it may be slightly darkened. A sticker that is crooked due to production is also possible. Old bags may be open due to age.
good condition
The item has signs of storage or use. However, the blemishes occur only sporadically and disturb the good overall impression little. Examples: The album has minor creases and abrasions. The pages may have isolated minimal tears (1- 2 cm) or several dog-ears and there are inscriptions. Unstuck stickers may have minimally bumped corners and/or are more noticeably darkened. Bags have minor creases.
satisfactory condition
Item has varying, easily noticeable signs of storage and use. For collectors of rare rarities, this condition is definitely still interesting. Examples: Album is heavily read, has large creases, stains and loose pages. Bags have been improperly reglued and are therefore curled at the edges.
poor condition
This condition is very rarely offered by us. Collectors like to use albums in this condition as voucher copies or for cannibalization.
insufficient condition
This condition is unacceptable and will not be offered.
